Backroads Bikeways, Trails, and Routes - Enjoy hundreds of miles of country trails!

The twelve routes in Harbor Country range from 5 to 60 miles and follow secondary roads over rushing streams and through picturesque rolling hills, patchwork farmland and beautiful meadows, parks and forests. View attractions such as the New Buffalo Railroad Museum on the Union Pier and Lake Michigan Trails. Walk through Warren Woods State Park or swim in Lake Michigan at Warren Dunes State Park on the Warren Dunes and Grand Mere Trails.

Harbor Country has hundred of miles of country and side roads that are perfect for recreationa and sport cycling. The Dewey Cannon Trading Company in downtown Three Oaks, Michigan can get you started.

The Backroads Bikeway Map with self-guided bike trails can also be found at the same location. This signed and mapped bikeway system consists of 14 tours ranging from 5 to 60 miles.

Also taking place in Harbor Country each fall is the Apple Cider Century, It has become the Midwest`s largest one-day century event with 5,000 cyclists participating last year.

The Apple Cider Century is sponsored by the Three Oaks Spokes Bicycle Club. Monies raised are used to finance the Apple Cider Century Tour, the Backroads Bikeway trails, the League of American Bicyclists, Rails to Trails, donations to the Three Oaks Historical Museum antique bicycle display and to help fund community youth programs and other non-profit organization fund raising causes.
